FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a recognised need for support for individuals who had not only become unemployed during the pandemic, but those who were already unemployed pre-pandemic. The pandemic has also had an impact on those who entered the job market from school, further education and those hoping to return to employment.

Within the Fife Mental Health Strategy 2020-24, under commitment one: Prevention and Early Intervention, the employment actions include, developing person centred activities to support the journey to employment through building self-management, resilience and self-esteem and building the voice of lived experience with project development.  This resulted in the development of the Jobseeker Wellbeing Toolkit.

The Jobseeker's Wellbeing Toolkit is an Interactive resource which contains self management resources and promotion of Fife services.

At this session, Annemarie Smith, Fife Health Promotion Service, will tell us more about what the Toolkit can do for your clients, including:

    ·         Helping clients considering mental health from the positive standpoint of well-being

    ·         Managing daily challenges to mental wellbeing

    ·         Showcasing the additional support for frontline staff to develop or maintain your awareness on mental health and wellbeing.

Who should attend? This session will be valuable for anyone professionally supporting those seeking work.
