  • Public views on income-based policies and health

    Created: 6/21/2023, Updated: 6/27/2023

In the UK, there are big differences in the health of people living in rich and poor areas and between people from different walks of life. One way to reduce this health divide is to make sure people have a decent income.

Currently missing from policy and media debates is what the public thinks about this issue. A team of researchers from three UK universities- led by Glasgow Caledonian University- is interested in what the public thinks about different income-based policies that impact health.

For this, they are looking for people to take part in:

    • Online General Public Panel: To aid the design of the project
    • In-Person Focus Groups: To test and discuss survey questions
    • In-Person Interviews: To try out survey questions and discuss answers with a project researcher

Sessions are scheduled in Glasgow and Newcastle across 2023, and there are financial incentives to take part.
