We also have slides from Phil Martin which were not available on the day but provide useful detail to his presentation on DWP.
Heather Tytler informed the group of an Employability Fund Provider Event on Wednesday 07 May 2014. The event will take place at The Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline at 2.00pm. Heather has set aside some spaces and those interested in attending should contact
Christine Davison by Tuesday 06 May at 12noon to book a place.
Pegs Bailey announced that Opportunities Fife Partnership have confirmed continued funding for her and Christine’s role in supporting third sector employability provision and also to continue developing the cross-sectoral Fife Employability Forum. Participants were asked to identify topics they would like to see covered in future Forums, and then ’vote’ for those they thought were most important. There was a strong interest in looking at working in partnership and engaging with employers. FVA will use the next two Forums to focus on these issues.
The My Shout session provided an update on the Fife Employability Consortium, an event to encourage young people into rural skills based jobs, and a shout out from FORT to encourage organisations to access training – more details in the Forum Note below.
