Homelands Trust-Fife seeks a new Chair
Created: 4/30/2015Homelands Trust-Fife is an independent registered charity working to improve the quality of life of people affected by disability through the provision of top quality holiday accommodation and supportive day services. The Trust operates 4 luxury, self catering properties and a drop-in/therapy centre in Lundin Links which are designed and equipped for people affected by disability.
Having completed the building phase in August 2014, the Trust is now seeking a dynamic and committed Chair of the Board of Trustees to lead the organisation through the next phase of growth and development. Ideally, the Chair will have a background in business/marketing combined with strong personal skills and knowledge of charity governance. Homelands Trust-Fife wants someone who shares the values on which all of its work is based and a strong commitment to working to improve the quality of life of people affected by disability.
Although this is a voluntary post, reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid. As it is a voluntary role, the ideal candidate is likely to be in a senior role that allows work flexibility or be semi-retired/retired. The successful candidate's essential experience and skills set will be in a business or marketing setting. Understanding of the disability sector would be advantageous but not a pre-requisite.
