Volunteer Curling Assistants - Disabled Curlers Scotland DICE
Created: 6/16/2015DICE is a social group for people with all types of disabilities, including physical, sensory and intellectual issues. They are planning curling sessions and competitions at various venues across Scotland for the start of the 2015/16 curling season and require Volunteer Curling Assistants to support these events and competitions.
Place: Ice Rinks across Fife, Dundee and Perth
Dates: T.B.C. - Approximate 2 dates per month from August 2015
Volunteers will assist primarily visually impaired people to participate in curling activities and competitions. Volunteers will assist in the creation of a safe, secure and friendly environment, allowing participants to maintain and develop their independence. Whilst they do not look for particular experience, DICE do ask that their volunteers enjoy meeting and talking with people, are reliable, friendly and caring.
