Fife Voluntary Action are pleased to welcome Sandy Riddell, the current Director of Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnership, to attend the Third Sector Health and Social Care Forum this month on Thursday 14 July 2016.
Sandy took up his post in September 2014 and will retire in August this year. He has guided Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnership through the first stages of integration, building a foundation from which the partnership will operate going forward.
His reflections and perspective will enrich the discussion around the past, present and future of Health and Social Care Integration in Fife, offering valuable insight to those attending. This is an opportunity to hear from Sandy before his successor Michael Kellet comes into post later this year. Michael brings a range of experience to the role, including more than 20 years’ experience of working in government in Scotland.
The Third Sector Health and Social Care Forum runs monthly and membership is open to any third sector organisation which provides health or care services in Fife. The Forum has focused strongly on the Integration of Health and Social Care over the past few years with other topics discussed including: Self-Management, Self-Directed Support and Health Inequalities. Previous speakers have included colleagues from the Joint Improvement Team, Scottish Government, Scottish Public Health Observatory and the Big Lottery.
