  • Social Security Scotland to pay third sector organisations for providing supporting information

    Created: 21/06/2023, Updated: 22/06/2023
    News/Events Category: General News

Third sector organisations are to be paid a fee for helping to provide supporting information for people applying for Child Disability Payment or Adult Disability Payment.

The £33.50 fee will be paid when Social Security Scotland asks the organisation to complete a supporting information request form.

Organisations that have already been asked to provide supporting information for clients receiving Child Disability Payment or Adult Disability Payment before the fee payments process, from the launch of disability payments to the launch of Third Sector payments on 26 May 2023, will be able to have their payments backdated. Organisations will only receive a fee when SSS has directly requested the information.
