The Health, Social Care and Sport Committee has published its annual report for 2022-23.

The committee held 37 meetings over this period and scrutinised two pieces of primary legislation- the National Care Service (Scotland) Bill and the Patient Safety Commissioner for Scotland Bill.

In addition to short scrutiny sessions, the committee undertook inquiries into areas such as alternative pathways into primary care, the health and wellbeing of children and young people, health inequalities, female participation in sport and physical activity, and experiences of the Complex Mesh Surgical Service.
