  • Living Wage Rates 2023/24 Announcement

    Created: 28/09/2023
    News/Events Category: General News

The real Living Wage rates for 2023/24 have been announced today.

The current Living Wage will rise from £10.90 to £12.00. This is a 10% pay rise for 430,000 workers employed at over 13,000 Living Wage accredited employers across the UK.

The real Living Wage is more important than ever. Despite inflation easing, the cost-of-living crisis is far from over for Britain's 3.5 million low paid workers.

Amongst low paid workers over the past 12 months:

    • 50% said they're worse off than a year ago
    • 39% regularly skipped meals for financial reasons
    • 39% had fallen behind with household bills

There are over 45 real Living Wage organisations in Fife's third sector. You can find out about Living Wage employers in your area here - Accredited Living Wage Employers | Living Wage Foundation
