Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy Delivery Plan and Workforce Action Plan Published
Created: 01/12/2023In November 2023, the Scottish Government published the Mental health and wellbeing strategy: delivery plan 2023-2025, setting out priorities and actions to support the delivery of the recently published Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy.
The delivery plan includes specific actions on working across government to ensure that employers and employability support services understand their role in reducing mental health stigma and to help them to actively promote and support the mental health and wellbeing of workers and those seeking employment.
Earlier in 2023 the Scottish Government, in partnership with Public Health Scotland and See Me, established the Supporting a Mentally Healthy Workplace: National Learning Network for Employers to bring together employers of all sizes and across all sectors in Scotland to share learning and experiences of supporting mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Over 350 people from a wide range of employers are now engaged with the network which meets on a quarterly basis. The network was established to complement the Supporting a Mentally Healthy Workplace digital platform which signposts employers to a wide range of free mental health and wellbeing resources and information.
