If you work in or around Fife and think greater flexible working could help your people and your business and are looking for practical ideas to make this happen, then Flexibility Works and Fife Gingerbread's training session is perfect for you.

All kinds of workers – and employers - benefit from greater flexible working, but when parents can work more flexibly, the positive impact ripples out to children too. It’s no exaggeration to say that getting flexible working right can help reduce childhood poverty, as well as delivering business benefits such as improved productivity and staff retention.

The free in-person event is for employers in Fife and is kindly funded by Business Gateway Fife.

    Speakers include:

    • Nikki Slowey, Co-Founder and Director, Flexibility Works
    • Lyndsey Thomson, Project Coordinator, Fife Gingerbread
    • Andrew Stokes, Service Manager, Fife Council
    • Gwyneth Christie, Manager, Gowrie House Care Home
    • Stephen Heslop, Managing Director Employer Pitreavie Packaging
    • Chris Birt, Associate Director for Scotland, Joseph Rowntree Foundation
    • Lynne Smith, Admin Assistant, Fife Gingerbread

    At the event you will:

    • Hear from employers about what flex they offer, why, and the benefits and challenges they've faced
    • Learn data and insights about flexible working in Scotland
    • Receive tips to help you sell flexible working in your organisation
    • Hear personal stories from employees
    • Discuss where your organisation is with flex, your challenges, and how you can begin to tackle them
    • Enjoy coffee and cake to fuel your morning
