Creating Hope Together, Scotland’s suicide prevention strategy and action plan, were launched in September 2022. To achieve the strategy’s vision of reducing suicide deaths in Scotland whilst tackling the inequalities which contribute to suicide, it will be important to create opportunities for all sectors to come together and work in partnership.

Suicide Prevention Scotland aims to build a network of people across the country who are working to prevent suicide, bringing together people working in the public, private and third sectors. The work that the many suicide prevention charities across Scotland undertake, is key to achieving the outcomes in the strategy and ensuring people affected by suicide receive the support they need.

Gathering Hope will provide an opportunity for charities working in suicide prevention to come together, to network, share learning and build connections. You will hear from charities about the opportunities and challenges of working in suicide prevention in Scotland, focussing on what worked and what they learned from what didn’t. There will also be a chance to consider how the work you are involved in contributes to the actions in the delivery plan and consider how we can effectively work in partnership to help achieve the outcomes.

As places are limited they encourage early registration. If demand to attend is high, they may have to limit the number of places allocated to each organisation, but there will be further opportunities to contribute in the future.

    Book your place here.
