    The Adult Support and Protection Committee is pleased to offer Protection Order Training.

    The training will be delivered in person by Nairn Young, Managing Solicitor for Litigation and Advice for Renfrewshire Council.

    The training is a half day session with two sessions on each day (9.30-12.30 and 1.30-4.30). There are two training dates available - Wednesday 28 February 2024 and Wednesday 13 March 2024. 

    Who Should Attend? 

    Frontline practitioners within all partner agencies, managers, supervisors, and legal services who could potentially be involved in a Protection Order application.

    The Course

    This course will cover:

    • Background to the Adult Support & Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 and basic concepts
    • What are protection orders and when might they be used?
    • Hard cases - looking at some case studies around undue pressure
    • How to evidence undue pressure in court
    • Undue pressure and incapacity - alternatives to protection orders

    How to Book
