    This event is being organised by Scottish Autism

    The Chronic Pain Peer Support Group is for autistic people or people who identify as autistic, age 18+ who live in the Fife area.   

    They will explore strategies of support to manage pain as well as link with professionals who can offer advice and guidance. 

    The sessions will be relaxed and friendly where the group can share their own stories, support needs and strategies.  They will also ask for ideas around themed sessions, this may include: 

    • Advocacy support 
    • Hospital/medical passport 
    • Occupational therapy 
    • Physio 
    • Reiki 
    • Alternative therapies more widely 
    • Circles of support 
    • Emergency scenario 

    This will be a hybrid group and you can choose to attend in person or online via Zoom. 

    Who should attend? 

    Autistic people or people who identify as autistic, aged 18+, who live in Fife.

    Caitlin Campbell - Scottish Autism Community Advisor

    Caitlin has experience working with children, young people and adults with differing support needs. Caitlin is autistic and brings direct lived experience to her knowledge and understanding. As well as her lived experience Caitlin also has a wealth of knowledge and experience centred around inclusion and disability equality. 

    Jackie Cassels – Community Advisor
     
    Jackie joined Scottish Autism in 2020 as a Community Advisor after spending many years working in education. Since August 2022, Jackie has been a senior Community Advisor based at the One Stop Shop specifically supporting the wellbeing of autistic adults and the parents and carers of autistic children and adults.
