  • Fife College - Everyday Numeracy with Cooking course

    Created: 23/02/2024
    News/Events Category: Employability

Fife College offers a cooking course that includes numeracy skills for those who want to gain the confidence to cook healthier and more budget-friendly meals for their family.

Everyday Numeracy with Cooking is held in purpose-built training kitchens, and trainers will help trainees improve knowledge and creativity in cooking and show how numeracy can aid with food preparation and budgeting.

Participants will gain the knowledge to manage personal finances more effectively as well as the confidence to help their children with their schoolwork.

The Everyday Numeracy with Cooking course runs for 10 weeks (three hours each week), and trainees can choose to attend at campuses in Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Glenrothes or Levenmouth.

The course starts on 18 March - the College advises that applications can be received up until that date in theory, but anticipates that places will be filled rapidly, so book early to avoid disappointment!
