  • Scottish Women's Budget Group Survey 2024

    Created: 11/03/2024
    News/Events Category: Consultations

The Scottish Women’s Budget (SWB) Group have just launched its third women’s survey to help us understand women’s public spending priorities for 2024.

They're asking women about the impact of the ongoing cost-of-living crisis including questions about debt and savings, and whether they have been affected by cuts to public services during the past year. They are also providing a space for women to share their priorities ahead of the upcoming General Election.

Their previous surveys have shown that women are often the shock of absorbers of poverty for their households skipping meals, not replacing clothes or shoes for themselves or skipping haircuts etc. to try and protect other family members from the impact of increasing costs.

The information provided will be used in developing campaigns, to highlight issues affecting women in the media, inform government consultation responses, and as part of SWB's training.

They are offering a £25 voucher to 10 people who complete the survey, selected at randoom.
