  • Recruitment for New Members to the TSEF Executive Group

    Created: 22/03/2024
    News/Events Category: Employability

The Third Sector Employability Forum (TSEF) provides a space for third sector organisations with an interest in employability policy and delivery to share experience and inform national and local policy agendas.

The Forum is supported and facilitated by an Executive Group which was established in 2011. The TSEF Executive represents the wider Forum community on the national employability policy agenda in Scotland, through attending advisory and working groups as well as hosting events and creating spaces to share knowledge and information. Members of the Executive Group lead on specific issues as required and represent and report back to the wider Forum on discussions, issues and decisions reached in a range of advisory groups and Government-led work streams.

    Executive Group Member Participation

The Executive Group meets online every two months. Meetings usually last around 1.5 hours. Typically, Executive Group members will also participate in separate planning meetings or sub-committees related to TSEF, as well as national working and/or advisory groups. In addition, Executive Group members assist at the Wider Forum TSEF meetings and events throughout the year. The term for membership of the Exec Group is three years, with the opportunity to renew. Membership is on a voluntary basis, with no remuneration available, and members meet their own travel expenses.

The TSEF Executive Group members recognise their pivotal role in the working of the Forum and commit to personally attending the meetings and sub-groups of the Executive. Substitutions are normally not permitted.

Please note that there are currently several areas which are under-represented on the Executive Group.  For this reason, TSEF particularly welcomes expressions of interest from those working within:

    • Smaller third sector organisations
    • Organisations who reflect the issues of families and children in poverty
    • Organisations supporting people with mental health challenges
    • Those delivering in rural areas
    • Organisations supporting those who are, or who risk being left behind and TSI representation

An Expression of Interest form must be completed and sent to Jayne Chappell [email protected], who can also be contacted for more information.

The closing date for submitting Expressions of Interest is 5pm on Friday 12 April 2024.
