  • Social Security Scotland - New text and e-mail updates on Disability Payment applications

    Created: 05/04/2024
    News/Events Category: Employability

Social Security Scotland have introduced new text and e-mail updates to let people know how their applications for Adult Disability Payment and Child Disability Payment are progressing. These are being introduced as part of the commitment to improve the experience for people applying for and receiving these benefits. People can choose if they want to receive texts, e-mails or both about progress on their application.

Clients will be sent updates at two stages:

    • When Social Security Scotland have confirmed the applicant’s personal details (including their name, address and eligibility for benefits)
    • When the appropriate team starts reviewing their application

You can read more about this on the Social Security Scotland website.
