    Post: Service Coordinator 
    Contract: Permanent 
    Hours: 24 per week. 4x six hour days, Monday-Friday. Actual working days to be agreed with successful candidate.
    Salary: £11.27 per hour 

     

    The Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team providing activities and food for older people across Fife.  You will be working with other coordinators to provide activities that entertain and encourage social interaction in a safe and friendly environment.

    Alongside the service manager and the rest of the team you will be involved in developing activities which provide physical and mental stimulation and trips out.  Food is provided for clients at all of our groups and transport is also provided.

    You will also be responsible for the training and ongoing support of volunteers to support these groups, providing a fun and life enhancing service for our clients.

    You will support the service manager and volunteers to promote the services widely and encourage new clients and volunteers.

    About You

    • Experience of working with older people
    • Delivering activities within a group setting
    • Ability to proficiently use standard IT systems – Microsoft Office/Word/Excel, client database entry and management
    • A knowledge and experience of dementia (personal and/or professional) is desirable
    • Understanding of the benefit of group settings and activities for people living with dementia
    • Safeguarding vulnerable adults
    • Excellent communication and listening skills
    • Good organisation and facilitation skills
    • A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (mileage reimbursed)

    The successful applicant will be subject to a PVG check.
