    Post: Human Resources Manager 
    Salary: £38,000 per annum, pro rata + 8% pension contribution (7% employer, 1% employee) and a wide range of benefits 
    Hours: 21 per week
    Location: Hybrid - Glenrothes and home based 
    Reporting to: Chief Executive

     

    As FVA's first Human Resources Manager you will oversee the development and implementation of people policies and procedures, ensuring the organisation complies with all employment related laws and regulations. You will support line managers to consistently apply policies and support our people, ensuring a focus on professional development, whilst fostering a positive work culture throughout the charity.

    About The Role 

    The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Conducting regular reviews of HR policies and procedures 
    • Advising managers on all people processes 
    • Developing and implementing an internal learning and development plan 
    • Developing and supporting effective delivery of recruitment and induction procedures 
    • Fostering a positive work environment through open communication and staff engagement 
    • Supporting managers to embed health and wellbeing 
    • Supporting managers in compliance with health and safety policies and procedures 
    • Supporting managers to ensure equality, diversity and inclusion is respected 
    • Supporting managers to ensure effective use of hybrid working and other flexible working arrangements 
    • Working closely with the finance team for payroll actions or employee changes 
    • Maintaining employee records in accordance with data protection and other relevant legislation 
    • Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO on all HR matters

    About You 

    Essential requirements for the role include, but are not limited to:

    • Previous experience as an HR generalist 
    • Experience of developing and implementing HR strategies, case management, employee relations, conflict resolution and employee engagement surveys 
    • Ability to understand and apply employment law provisions and guidance 
    • Sound understanding of performance management, training, compliance and benefits administration 
    • Sound knowledge of employment and health and safety legislation 
    • Experience overseeing the full recruitment life cycle 
    • Strong communication skills 
    • Excellent standard of computer competence 
    • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships 
    • Good people skills 
    • Organised and efficient
