Under the terms of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 there is a requirement to consult with parents and carers about how Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) and Out of School Care (OOSC) is delivered in Fife. The last consultation with parents about ELC was in October 2014 and are now wanting to get their opinions again to make sure what is being delivered is what parents want.
An online survey has been created through Survey Monkey and ask that parents complete this by 28 November 2016.
In addition to displaying the poster, you could also promote this survey through text alerts (groupcall) to all parents in your school and/or nursery as well as including details in any newsletters you are sending out in the next couple of weeks.
This is a short survey split into four sections and should take no more that 10 minutes to complete:
- Details about their family and what services they currently use
- ELC - 600 hours
- OOSC
- ELC - 1140 hours from 2020.
Over 900 online responses were received the last time and the aim is to get many more responses this time as the consultation covers both Early Learning and Childcare and Out of School Care (it only covered ELC last time).
