  • Community-led health: People, policy and practice

    Created: 14/09/2017
    News/Events Category: Community Events

When: TBC, Tuesday 21 November 2017
    Where: Central Edinburgh, TBC
This event is being organised by CHEX

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

CHEX invite you to attend their Nation conference, which will bring people from community-led health together to network, share and learn from each other’s practice. The focus will be on how practice is shaped by, and is shaping, current policy in Scotland.

People are at the heart of recent policy developments in Scotland, including the Community Empowerment Act, the integration of health and social care and the proposed Local Democracy Bill. Participation, prevention and partnership are being talked about at a high level, but what does this mean in terms of practice? How are things changing on the ground for communities and, in particular, people experiencing poverty, exclusion and the poorest health outcomes?

Click here to register your interest in attending.

They would also like to hear from anyone who has ideas for presentations and presenters in relation to the theme of people, policy and practice. Please get in touch with [email protected] to put forward your ideas.
