“Engaging with Confidence” will be a half-day session delivered by the Scottish Community Development Centre inviting third-sector-based attendees to reflect on how they engage with communities.
We will look at the National Standards for Community Engagement in some depth and will be exploring questions around:
Meeting community expectations and needs
Developing robust approaches to community engagement (avoiding tokenism)
Developing and using community engagement methods that are fit for purpose
Exploring the concept of co-production approaches to working with communities
The short course will feature both mentoring and participatory sessions.
