This role will involve:- Explaining bureau procedures to clients, including waiting times. Guiding clients to appropriate waiting area. Informing advisers of waiting clients. Assisting clients, if appropriate, to access self-help material or alternative methods of accessing advice. Keeping the waiting room neat, tidy and welcoming for clients.
Induction training and policies relevant to the role.
Completion of training 'Welcoming Clients' and individual instruction on the relevant tasks to be undertaken.
You will have the opportunity to shadow experienced Volunteer Receptionists.
Out of pocket expenses paid?
Yes - 45p per mile or public transport costs.
It is important that you have a warm, friendly and open nature. Clients are often anxious about using the service and as the first person they approach; you need to be able to make them feel welcome.
